CHICAGO — Camelot Illinois is pleased to announce that Keith Horton has recently been promoted to the role of General Manager of Camelot Illinois, the private manager of the Illinois Lottery. He will continue to serve as the company’s General Counsel.
Keith Horton has been with Camelot Illinois since 2018, when he started as Vice President of Compliance and General Counsel. Prior to his time at Camelot, Horton served as General Counsel for the Office of the Illinois State Treasurer, Deputy General Counsel for the Office of the Governor of Illinois, a litigator at two large law firms, and a management consultant at a Big Four firm. Horton states, “I am thrilled and honored to take on this new role at Camelot Illinois as we continue to responsibly grow our player base and deliver innovative solutions for the people of Illinois.”
Horton’s previous experience working in both the public and private sectors has prepared him well for his position at Camelot Illinois, and on a personal level, Horton has a strong connection with the Illinois Lottery.
“It’s not just about celebrating large jackpot wins,” Horton says. “It’s also about celebrating the wins happening in classrooms across the state each and every day thanks to the dollars contributed to the Common School Fund by the Illinois Lottery.
